yoondexter@gmail.comWhy is my payslip a few cents different?
Kiwi Calculator works out tax over a full year using Inland Revenue's rates. Employers calculate PAYE each pay period from IRD's tables, so individual payslips can differ by a few cents.
Which tax code does it use?
Tax code M, your main income. Turn on "Independent earner credit" to use tax code ME, and "Student loan" to include student loan repayments.
Are the KiwiSaver figures guaranteed?
No. They are projections based on the assumptions shown in the app: yearly returns after fees and tax of 3.5% (conservative), 4.5% (balanced) or 5.5% (growth), salary growth of 3% and inflation of 2%. Real returns go up and down.
Is my information stored anywhere?
Only on your phone. The app has no accounts and never connects to the internet. See the privacy policy.
Kiwi Calculator gives general estimates to help you plan. It isn't financial, tax or legal advice. For decisions about your own money, talk to a licensed financial adviser, your bank or Inland Revenue.
